Take a mid-season break from your rigorous training routine to log some fun, easy-rolling miles along Wisconsin's East Coast.   “The Other East Coast” tour offers four days of scenic, quick-paced cycling over the rolling roads of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, a ride along the Lake Michigan's shoreline up to Door County and loop that practically includes the entire Door County shoreline.

First morning, just a half mile from the hotel, riders will begin to parallel the ’Ice Age Trail’ as they make their way up to the Kettle Moraine State Forest. An area recognized for its kettles, kames and eskers; these scenic, wooded back roads will weave riders over the gentle rolling terrain refer to as 'little Moab' by local mountain bikers.  Our route continues to parallel the ’Ice Age Trail’ through the forest as riders make their way to Elkhart Lake.  It is at this point when riders will turn east and spin over to the Lake Michigan shoreline.

After an overnight in Manitowoc, riders will continue following the shoreline on their way up to the Door County peninsula. On their way, riders will tour on lightly traveled roads with cliff-side vistas and along beaches where summer cottages hug the Lake Michigan shoreline.

Once on the Door County peninsula, the route will riders will chase the perimeter of the peninsula, riding through  forests, parks, villages, past a few lighthouses and lots of orchards.

Throughout the entire tour cyclists will ride at their pace and are encouraged to stop and explore interesting points along the way. Each rider will recieve a daily map with predefined rest stops where they can count on replenishing their water and grab some fruit and a small sandwich.
